what we bring to partnerships

​Our work has included partnerships with large urban school districts like Baltimore City Public Schools and Indianapolis
Public Schools, as well as state and municipal departments and smaller nonprofits including the Connecticut Youth Services Association (CYSA) and Middletown Youth Service Bureau.

​Enrollment

DillingerRAD has provided both research and technical support around student enrollment. Over the past three years, we have assisted in the design and development of 1-year and 10-year enrollment projection models utilizing software packages STATA and Python to
execute projections. Support included meaning making, designing various models, and assisting with communication to outside stakeholders from the state. DillingerRAD has researched and conducted trend analyses to better understand what has had the largest impact on district enrollment.

Finance & Budgeting

Much of our work has been with Finance, Budgeting, and or Grant departments, helping to work through and analyze variouscost drivers. Our work has involved utilizing financial systems like MUNIS, Allovue, Schoolzilla and Follett Destiny. We strive to meet teams where they are utilizing the
software they have and are familiar with.

State Legislation
​

Many initiatives across various states are working to revamp education funding formulas. DillingerRAD has been working closely with Baltimore City Schools to read, synthesize, and project plan for how the new Maryland Blueprint Legislation will affect school funding over the next 10 years. Over 300 pages need to be read, analyzed, and prioritized. DillingerRAD has also aided the Colorado Department of Education in providing analysis and support for a 30-member work group that is looking to create a financial model to equitably support children with special needs within the network of facility schools throughout the state. The final report will be submitted to legislators with the group's recommendations.

Project Management

DillingerRAD has experience managing ambiguous projects and thoughtfully structuring them in a way that brings focus and clarity to the work. Current work includes a landscape analysis for DCF of over 100 agencies that comprise Connecticut Youth Services Association. The work involves trying to measure and align numerous organizations that are inherently serving their communities in unique and creative ways.

training

DillingerRAD has worked closely with many types of analytical teams. We focus
on developing key skills and processes at the individual and team level. We have
helped develop SQL, Python, and C# skills with analysts while developing
processes like ticket systems to work with and engage outside stakeholders.

tool development

One aspect of DillingerRAD’s focus is around leveraging data in a more systematic and efficient way. This entails understanding the need and developing tools (excel, C#, python, etc.) that aggregate and clean up data while allowing various individuals to analyze and make meaning. Our tools have ranged from Transportation Dashboards, Food Service reconciliation reports to optimizing how departments ​can check and allocate title funding.
